Returning to the world of bookselling

22 Dec

Great news! Today I was put back on the schedule at Indigo Books. This is a great little bookstore outside of Charleston, SC and right next to the coast. I will only be working there for a week or so before I have to return to classes but for the time being it is nice to be back at the perfect job.

When I was little, I would tell my mom I wanted to own a bookstore. I think I would still love to at some point- but if people keep loving technology the way they do, this may never happen.

On a more positive note- Congrats!

I would love to own a bookstore, I think it would only work if you could own the building so to avoid paying rent on it.

Booksellers unite! Yes, owning a bookstore has been an ambition of mine as well. Though I imagine it more as a retiree job when I’m around 70.

I’m hoping to start the bookstore in a few years, once I graduate. But it will all depend on how my upcoming summer publishing internship goes.

Good luck with your internship! May bookstores survive and thrive.
